Where did Bo Nix finish in the AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year voting?

Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix finished third in the voting for The Associated Press NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year for the 2024 season.

The award was presented to Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels during the “NFL Honors” program on Thursday night in New Orleans.

In the 2024 season, Daniels and Nix brought to nine the number of rookie quarterbacks who have started every regular-season game for a team that made the NFL playoffs.

Daniels received all but one of the 50 first-place votes. The lone first-place vote that did not go to Daniels was cast for Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers.

Bowers finished second with 214 points. The selectors voted for five players, with 10 points awarded for a first-place vote, five for second, three for third, two for fourth and one for fifth.

Nix finished with 153 points. He received 15 second-place votes, 21 third-place votes, seven fourth-place votes and one fifth-place vote. Six selectors left Nix off their ballot. Ten players received votes.

The former Pinson Valley High School and Auburn quarterback joined Denver as the 12th pick in the NFL Draft on April 25. In the 2024 regular season, Nix completed 376-of-567 passes for 3,775 yards with 29 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He also finished sixth among rookies with 430 rushing yards in 2024, when four of his 92 carries went for touchdowns and 41 produced first downs.

Nix joined Cam Newton and Kyler Murray as the only rookie QBs with at least 3,700 passing yards and 400 rushing yards. Nix also tallied 29 TD passes, the second-most for a rookie in NFL history.

In Denver’s 38-0 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in the regular-season finale on Jan. 5, Nix completed 18 passes in a row to set an NFL rookie record for the most consecutive completions from the start of a game (in records that date to 1978), finished 26-of-29 to set a Denver single-game record for completion rate at 89.7 percent (for players with at least 20 passes) and an NFL rookie single-game record (for players with at least 25 passes) and became the first rookie in NFL history with a single-game passing-efficiency rating as high as 152.4 (for players with at least 20 passes).

Nix also set an NFL record for the most touchdown passes thrown in home games by a rookie with 19.

Nix helped Denver reach the playoffs for the first time since the 2015 season. The Broncos lost to the Buffalo Bills 31-7 in a first-round game in the AFC playoffs on Jan. 12.
