The end is in sight for a construction project designed to speed westbound traffic from I-565 into Town Madison.

Construction on the flyovers is “starting to come to a close,” Samantha Magnuson, communications director for the city, told The Huntsville Times on Monday. Madison is tentatively planning a February opening, she said.

Madison accepted a nearly $37 million bid from McInnis Construction and Miller & Miller in November 2022 to connect the mixed use development that’s home to Toyota Field to westbound traffic from Huntsville. Currently, drivers must exit I-565 about two miles before Town Madison and pass three signaled intersections.
