When will Dug Hill Road reopen in Madison County?
Funny you should ask: Partially, tomorrow.
From the folks at Madison County:
Starting the morning of Saturday, October 21st, Dug Hill Road will be open to local traffic. The contractor will still be working at various locations along Dug Hill Road and extreme caution should be used while workers are present.
Temporary lane closures and frequent delays are expected. Motorist are encouraged to avoid this area if possible and be patient if the road is blocked.
The road is open from Highway 72 to Hwy 431. Their hopes are to limit cut-through traffic since the contractor is still working on several areas of the road and there will be frequent delays, not to mention single-lane closures.
According to the county, the contractor will still continue to work on extending several culverts in the area south of BB Lawler Road/Windwood Drive, between 2085 and 2155 Dug Hill Road. That section will remain closed, likely through the end of October.
