When does Alabama play in the SEC softball tournament?
Coming off a series loss to rival Auburn, the Alabama Crimson Tide softball team is set to turn right around and return to The Plains, where Auburn is hosting the 2024 SEC softball tournament at Jane B. Moore Field.
Having finished the regular season with a 10-14 conference record, Alabama was spotted the No. 9 seed in the tournament, meaning the Crimson Tide avoided having to play its first game on Tuesday and will instead play its first-round matchup on Wednesday at 11 a.m.
In its first game of the SEC tournament, Alabama (33-16, 10-14 SEC) is set for a date with eighth-seeded LSU (38-13, 12-12 SEC) in what will be the first meeting between the Crimson Tide and Bayou Bengals this season.
The winner of Wednesday morning’s matchup will advance to the tournament quarterfinals, where it’ll run into the top-seeded Tennessee Volunteers on Thursday at 11 a.m.
