Huntsville saw more life lost to premature deaths in 2021 than the average U.S. city, according to New York University’s City Health dashboard.

The dashboard looks at six causes of premature death: firearm homicides, firearm suicides, cardiovascular disease, breast cancer, opioid overdose, and colorectal cancer.
