What time does this year’s Iron Bowl kick off?

The 88th meeting between Auburn and Alabama’s football programs is set for Nov. 25 as Auburn’s Jordan-Hare Stadium in a game that will kick off at 2:30 p.m., the SEC announced Monday afternoon.

The game will be televised on CBS.

With a rivalry history that dates back to 1893, the Alabama Crimson Tide holds a 49-37-1 advantage over the Tigers. However, Auburn boasts an 11-7 record when playing in the comfort of its own home at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Alabama has come out the winner in seven of the last 10 Iron Bowls with losses coming in 2013, 2017 and 2019, which were all games played at Auburn.

Of course, the 2013 edition of the rivalry was highlighted by Auburn’s Chris Davis’ 109-yard touchdown return on Alabama’s Adam Griffith’s game-winning 57-yard field goal attempt, which ended up being a hair short and a bit wide right, paving the way for the iconic “Kick Six.”

That will have been 10 meetings ago when the Crimson Tide visit the Tigers on Nov. 25.

Feel old yet?

Meanwhile, the meeting between head coaches Nick Saban and Hugh Freeze will be the sixth as the two met five times while Freeze was the head coach at Ole Miss from 2012-16. During that stretch, Freeze went 2-3 against Saban with back-to-back wins over the Crimson Tide in 2014 and 2015.

While Alabama (9-0, 7-1 SEC) will be coming off a game against Chattanooga heading into the Iron Bowl, Auburn (6-4, 3-4 SEC) is set to host New Mexico State the Saturday prior, Nov. 18.
