Alabama just survived the scare of the year to beat Texas A&M, 24-20 in Bryant-Denny Stadium.

— Saban said it’s always great to win. He said the fans “probably has as much to do with the win as anything.”

— He said they didn’t play winning football quite a bit in this game.

— “That was not our best football out there tonight,” Saban said.

— It’s hard to evaluate Jalen Milroe’s play tonight as a passer without watching the tape but 111 passing yards isn’t the kind of number they’re looking for. He couldn’t say exactly where that blame goes.

— “You have to embrace adversity sometimes,” Saban said of the defense’s ability to make big stops when it needed one.

— Saban said Bryce Young wanted to play at the end of the game tonight.
