Mobile saw the second most life lost due to premature deaths of any Alabama city in 2021, according to New York University’s City Health dashboard.

The dashboard looks at six causes of premature death: firearm homicides, firearm suicides, cardiovascular disease, breast cancer, opioid overdose, and colorectal cancer.
