After four years of waiting, the Birmingham metro could soon be getting an update on redevelopment plans for the once popular Brookwood Village mall, according to recent comments from Mountain Brook City Manager Sam Gaston.

In anticipation of a possible announcement, the Birmingham News Lede asked local residents what they would like to see happen with the property, which has been standing virtually empty for the past year.
