What are charges against Trump? Read indictment, 34 charges here
Former President Donald Trump has been indicted on 34 counts of falsifying business records in the first degree, according to an indictment released today through the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.
The indictment stems from alleged hush money payments made to adult film star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential campaign.

“During the election, Trump and others employed a “catch and kill” scheme to identify, purchase, and bury negative information about him and boost his electoral prospects. Trump then went to great lengths to hide this conduct, causing dozens of false entries in business records to conceal criminal activity, including attempts to violate state and federal election laws,” documents accompanying the indictment states.
Trump – the first former president to be charged with a crime – pled not guilty to the charges.
