What are Auburn, Alabama’s Final Four odds for the 2025 NCAA Tournament?

The state of Alabama is known for its love of football, but recently the Alabama Crimson Tide and Auburn Tigers have built up their basketball programs and started to shift the narratives for each school.

Auburn is currently the top-ranked team in the country, behind their star center, and looks to continue their dominance all the way to winning the championship. However, the Crimson Tide have their own ambitions of cutting down the nets this April.

Both teams can win it all, and ahead of an exciting March Madness, there is reason to buy into either squad.

That’s why today we’ll look at both, and the best odds for either making it to this year’s Final Four in San Antonio, Texas.

Auburn Tigers’ Final Four odds

Odds as of Mar. 4:

The Auburn Tigers have the best odds of making it to the Final Four at every major sportsbook except for DraftKings– where Duke leads with -150 odds. But for the best value, you’ll want to wager with bet365 for -140.

The Tigers have put together a magical season, going 27-2 on the year. The program has a 16-2 Quad 1 record, and has not dropped a game to any opponent lower. With their 15-1 SEC record, they’ve bested other top teams in the polls such as No. 4 Tennessee, No. 5 Florida, and No. 7 Alabama for the SEC regular season championship.

It’s the Johni Broome show in Auburn, but make no mistake, the team has plenty of talent surrounding him too. Five other players on the team average double-digit points per game, with four shooting from over 37% from three.

Bruce Pearl has done an excellent job of building out this roster, as the team ranks first in the country for KenPom’s offensive efficiency ratings, and tenth in defense.

Auburn’s resume speaks for itself, but when taking a look at past champion trends, no team fits the billing more than Auburn. Their blend of success, experience, and balanced play match that of past champions. They have a very strong chance of at least getting to San Antonio for the Final Four.

Alabama Crimson Tide’s Final Four odds

Odds as of Mar. 4:

FanDuel offers the best value when taking the Crimson Tide to make it to the Final Four this year. The Crimson Tide have the fifth-best odds of making it to San Antonio third for the SEC– trailing Auburn and Florida.

Alabama has one of the top offenses in college basketball, and it will be a key piece of their tournament success. The program ranks third in KenPom’s offensive efficiency ratings, and scores more points per game than any team in the country.

When looking around at past tournament teams to make the Final Four, a common trend is experience. Mark Sears is a senior guard who has been battle-tested over his career, and having him to depend on in key moments will be huge for the team.

Surrounding Sears in the team’s rotation are Grant Nelson and Clifford Omoruyi in the front court, averaging over 14 rebounds a game. At the same time, Aden Holloway is the team’s second-leading scorer, shooting over 40% from three-point range.

From a value standpoint, betting on the Crimson Tide makes a lot of sense. The team has a very strong foundation with a DNA that matches a lot of championship-winning resumes. While their defensive performances have been shaky, they have the offensive firepower to match.

Additionally, the Crimson Tide end their schedule with two games against the Florida Gators and Auburn Tigers. If they were to beat either, there is a chance their odds go down. If you think they could lose both games but still like their chances of making the Final Four, you may want to wait until this Sunday to place any wagers.

Nate Oats has proved himself as one of the top coaches in college basketball, even making the 2024 Final Four just last season. Back stronger and more experienced, can the Crimson Tide make it happen again?
