What Alabama football ‘souvenir tickets’ look like (and how much they cost)
Remember football tickets? Not the digital version you store in your Apple Wallet. Actual cardboard paper tickets with perforation and everything.
Well, those disappeared during the pandemic when Alabama (and most other teams) understandably went paperless and never looked back.
Whether or not the new system has created more efficiency on gamedays (logjammed while scanning at your gates, anyone?), we’re likely to never see official paper tickets in Tuscaloosa again, unless you want to pay extra for one.
Alabama announced a handful of changes fans can expect on gameday at the Capstone in 2023, all designed to enhance your experience of course. They include the Bryant-Denny Stadium field upgrade, shaker bins scattered throughout the venue, Friday locker room tours, grab-and-go concessions and a new “Champions Lane” area for pregame activities.

Fans can also now buy a souvenir printed game ticket via the Crimson Tide Access program. The price: $15 each ($105 for all seven).
Click that link, and you’ll see the “Souvenir Tickets” button at the top. Select “Purchase,” then pick a game on the “Product Selection” dropdown menu and you can generate a preview of each ticket for each home game in the 2023 season.
Frankly, the ticket designs are pretty plain, especially if you’re paying $15 on top of the original price you pay to even watch the game in the stadium. Face value for home game single game tickets this season averages around $92 for upper deck seating and $112 for lower bowl (see all prices). Each ticket features a nifty photo of one or more current Alabama football players including Kool-Aid McKinstry, Jase McClellan, Dallas Turner, Ja’Corey Brooks, Will Reichard and others.
What distinguishes one ticket from another, other than which player is featured, is a white tab with black text that lists the game number (Game 1 or Game 2), the opponent and the section and seat number.

We’ve seen similar designs on Alabama tickets in the past, especially on men’s basketball stubs that highlight a different player per game. We love the idea of bringing back actual ticket stubs as physical media are going extinct. Part of the experience is saving the stub, putting it behind glass or passing it down to the next generation of Crimson Tide fan in your family. And Alabama has had some amazing designs even since the 1920s, often featuring original art commemorating specific games or the logo for each opponent.
So after buying an actual ticket for upwards of 100 bucks and shelling out about the same on concessions, $25 for a locker room tour and who knows what else on a gameday, will you buy the $15 souvenir ticket this season?
