Wendy’s opened its newest location in Calera Wednesday.

The restaurant, located at 121 Supercenter Drive, is owned by Clarence Bailey of Bailey Restaurant Group.

“We see our new restaurant as more than a building, but a place to better connect with the community while serving Wendy’s fresh, famous food,” Bailey said. “We’re excited to celebrate with Calera and look forward to serving this wonderful community for years to come.”

The new Calera restaurant is part of a drive that the franchise initiated to see growth in units globally – the “Build-to-Suit” program, which allows operators to see a return on investment in about 3-and-a-half years, according to QSR.

Wendy’s has more than 6,000 locations in the U.S.
