Well-known downtown Birmingham office building sells for $2.9 million

An 80-year-old downtown Birmingham fixture has just been sold.

The Land Title Building, a four-story building facing diagonally at 600 20th St. N., sold for $2.925 million to Land Title Partners out of Spring Hill, Tenn.

Harbert Retails’ Casey Howard represented the seller, Land Title Building, LLC, a Sixty West company.

The 31,000-square-foot building is about 84% occupied with tenants, including Jaffe & Erdberg, Parnell & Parnell Law, Land Title Co., Sydney May Engineering, Sheffield & Lentine and others.

Built in the 1940s with a mix of Alabama limestone and marble, the Greek Revival-style building was designed by Birmingham architecture firm Warren, Knight & Davis.
