The No. 1 teams in all 10 – 12, counting the two Super Poll rankings – remain the same in Week 11 of the AHSAA coaches’ polls as the state playoffs get underway on Thursday for Class 6A and on April 29 in the other classifications.

The Spain Park girls remain the only unbeaten, untied team in the AHSAA and the 20-0 Jaguars are No. 1 in the girls Super Poll – the ranking of the top 10 teams regardless of class – and in Class 7A. Oak Mountain’s boys are 24-0-1 and are No. 1 in Class 7A and in the boys’ Super Poll.

Two of last season’s state champions are ranked first this week, both from the girls’ side. Class 5A Springville is 18-1 and Class 4A Westminster Christian of Huntsville is 13-1-1.
