Watch UCFâs Timmy McClain convert crazy fourth-down pass
Central Florida blew a big lead and lost 36-35 to Baylor on Saturday, but Knights quarterback Timmy McClain made one of the most insane plays you’ll ever see late in the game.
With UCF facing 4th and 1 from its 30 and 1:02 remaining, McClain retreated to his goal line while evading at least four pass-rushers. After narrowly avoiding a safety when a Baylor defender dove at his feet, McClain zipped a pass downfield to a leaping RJ Harvey for the first down.
Here’s video:
Alas, UCF couldn’t pull off the victory, missing a 59-yard field goal on the final play of the game. Gus Malzahn’s Knights (3-2, 0-2 Big 12) led 35-7 midway through the third quarter and 35-10 heading into the fourth before the Bears (2-3, 1-1) scored 26 points in the final quarter to win.
McClain, a redshirt freshman filling in for the injured John Rhys Plumlee, completed 13 of 25 passes for 234 yards and two touchdowns. He also added a rushing touchdown.
