Watch trailer for Netflix docs on Manziel, Florida Gators

We’re two weeks away from the premiere of the latest Netflix documentary series “Untold,” which includes two episodes that deal with college football.

Netflix released the following preview trailer on Tuesday:

“Johnny Football,” which tells the story of Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel, debuts Aug. 8. Manziel himself participated in the film, which appears to be a no-holds-barred account of his on- and off-field exploits.

“Swamp Kings” debuts Aug. 22 and tells the story of the Urban Meyer/Tim Tebow-era Florida Gators. Meyer and Tebow are among those interviewed for the film, which also delves into the Gators’ rash of off-field incidents during the period in which they won two national championships in three seasons.

Also included in the series are “Jake Paul the Problem Child” (Aug. 1) about the YouTube star-turned-professional boxer and “Hall of Shame” (Aug. 15) about performance-enhancing-drug use in sports.

Netflix’s “Untold” also produced four-part series in both 2021 and 2022. Among the subjects included were the “Malice at the Palace” brawl between the NBA’s Detroit Pistons and Indiana Pacers in 2004, the life of Caitlyn Jenner and the saga of former Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te’o.
