Watch South Carolinaâs Sopranos-themed Media Days video
South Carolina channeled one of the great television shows in history for its SEC Media Days hype video.
The Gamecocks released a Sopranos-themed video on Thursday, showing head coach Shane Beamer (with a coach’s whistle in his mouth) driving an SUV from the South Carolina football facility through campus and the city of Columbia to the team plane for its trip to Nashville as the “credits” flash on the screen. The video is a take-off on the opening credits for HBO’s classic series The Sopranos, which showed main character Tony Soprano leaving New York City and driving past various landmarks in northern New Jersey before arriving at his home.
