Watch Logan Paul beat Dillon Danis via disqualification after wild brawl
Logan Paul beat Dillon Danis by disqualification after a brawl broke out inside the ring during their exhibition boxing match on Saturday in Manchester, England.
Paul, 28, won every round heading into the sixth and final round, when chaos erupted.
According to ESPN, Danis, a four-time jiu-jitsu champion and training partner of Conor McGregor, was deducted one point for an attempted takedown of Paul in Round 6. He then tried a second takedown, which prompted Paul to retaliate.
“Dillon Danis truly is a coward,” Paul said, per the report. “… I forgave Dillon before this fight started. It was the only way to attack this fight without emotion. … But he was calling himself a real fighter? … Conor McGregor, you see that?”
The fight was stopped in the sixth round, and security rushed the ring.
There was bad blood coming into the fight. Danis violently hurled a microphone at Paul, appearing to strike him in the head, during a Thursday press conference promoting the fight.
The altercation came after Paul repeatedly called Danis a “predator” for harassing his fiancée Nina Agdal online and posting sexually explicit material of the woman, reports MMAFighting.com
Paul threw what appeared to be a water bottle at Danis’ legs, which prompted Danis to retaliate with the mic. Security personnel quickly stepped in to separate the two, as a third person chucked a water bottle at Paul’s head.
