Watch Kirk Herbstreit go nuts reacting to Alabamaâs win over Auburn
Kirk Herbstreit is a fan of college football.
That was never more evident than on Saturday night as the ESPN analyst was preparing to call the Florida-Florida State game. He and Chris Fowler were watching the end of the Iron Bowl and reacted as Jalen Milroe completed a 31-yard touchdown pass on fourth down to lead No. 8 Alabama past Auburn 27-24.
The Tide now travels to play Georgia in the SEC Championship Game.
“It’s a great win for our team,” Nick Saban right after the game. “It’s a great win for our state. It’s a great win for our fans. But for next week, we have to do better.”

The crazy finish comes on the 10th anniversary of the Kick Six, and Auburn honored the 2013 team that finished as runner-up nationally after Chris Davis returned a missed field goal 109 yards against Alabama for the winning touchdown on the final play.
Isaiah Bond caught Milroe’s desperation heave in the left corner of the end zone with 32 seconds left to give the No. 8 Crimson Tide (11-1, 8-0 SEC) a 10th straight win in the latest dramatic Iron Bowl at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Trailing by four with 1:43 left, Alabama had first-and-goal at the Auburn 7 before moving backward. The Crimson Tide lost 18 yards on a bad snap and were pushed back 5 more yards with an illegal downfield pass on third down after Milroe crossed the line of scrimmage.
