Alabama football players reacted Saturday to Nick Saban addressing the team prior to the Crimson Tide taking the field for the annual A-Day Game.

On Tuesday, the football program released a highlight video, if you will, of Saban’s activities during the Tide’s annual spring game.

Included in the video, of course, was his message to the team.

“I love Alabama,” Saban told the team. “We spent 17 years of our life here, trying to make it something special. It is something special. You guys got to carry the torch, and I know you will. I great confidence in you. …

“I love you. I appreciate you, and I want you to know I’m your best supporter. I’m gonna stay behind the scenes, but you know where I’m at. If you need me, come see me because I love you all, and I want to see you be successful.”

Prior to meeting with the team, he met with Alabama athletic director Greg Byrne, former Alabama quarterback Bryce Young, current Tide quarterback Jalen Milroe and others in Byrne’s office where he was presented his SEC championship ring.

Saban will have an office in Bryant-Denny Stadium, while new Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer takes Saban’s old office in the Mal M. Moore Athletic Facility.
