Watch Bradley Cooper-narrated NBC video about Alabamaâs Tua, Jalen ahead of Dolphins-Eagles
The intertwined careers of Miami quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and Philadelphia’s Jalen Hurts is well documented, but Sunday Night Football on NBC put a different spin on it prior to the start of the Dolphins-Eagles game Sunday night.
Narrated by Bradley Cooper, the video gives you a 90-second glimpse into the one of the more dynamic quarterback combinations in recent college football history.
“Now all these years later, these guys don’t have to look over their shoulders anymore to see each other because they are face to face for the first time ever. Two of the league’s best. Two teams looking primed for a Super Bowl run. Not a bad story, amirite?”
After the game Hurts deflected Tagovailoa talk, but did say, “Much respect to all my friends over there from Alabama.”
Hurts threw for 279 yards, threw two touchdown passes and ran for a score to lead the Philadelphia Eagles to a 31-17 win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday night. The Super Bowl teams from last season, the champion Kansas City Chiefs and Eagles are the only two 6-1 teams in the NFL. Eagles receiver A.J. Brown had 10 catches for 132 yards.
Tagovailoa was 23 of 32 for 216 yards in his first head-to-head matchup against Hurts in the NFL. Hurts and Tagovailoa were teammates at Alabama under coach Nick Saban.
