Watch Barry Odom get thrown from bull named ‘Widowmaker’ in fund-raiser
Well, you can’t say Barry Odom will ever ask his players to do something he isn’t willing to do himself.
The UNLV coach has gone viral for the lengths he will go to raise money for his football program.
Odom attended the “Horns & Helmets” event where tickets went for $150 each. Proceeds went to the Rebels football program. He did more than wave and shake hands. Odom rode a bull named “Widowmaker.”
As you can see below, Odom didn’t get to 8 seconds. The bull bucked twice to start, then threw Odom, 47, from his back.
“He was in control from the start,” Odom said, per BroBible. “I tried to catch up. Just couldn’t get there.”
According to the report, fans of the Runnin’ Rebels were able to purchase a $150 ticket package that started with a meet-and-greet with Odom. It also included a happy hour. All of the proceeds from ticket sales went to the Rebel Football Foundation — which is built to support UNLV through uniforms, transportation, facilities, etc.
