An inmate ran from a Limestone County courtroom this morning and was taken back into custody on a rooftop.

According to the City of Athens, the inmate was tracked to the roof of a downtown business.

Deputies caught the inmate, who has not yet been identified, on a downtown roof.

Athens Fire responded to safely remove him.
