It’s all about the eyes for Jalen Milroe.

The Alabama quarterback joined Roman Harper and Cole Cubelic on Monday during the SEC Network’s “Read & React.” During his appearance Milroe and broke down a couple of successful pass plays from Saturday’s 34-20 win over Tennessee, including Jermaine Burton’s second-quarter, 10-yard touchdown pass reception.

“With that play, it comes down to the reps at practice,” Milroe told the former SEC players. “It all factors into the game with how prepared you are. With that play, I had to make sure my eyes are in the right place and not to get the defense to flow to where I wanted to throw the ball.”

As you can see in the breakdown of the play, that’s exactly what happened. Milroe knew he had the look he wanted.

“When the play came in from the sidelines, I scanned the defense,” he explained. “I knew we had a good play here. We fittin’ to score.”

Milroe also showed off that contagious laugh made known Saturday after the game when Nick Saban chewed on a cigar. Cubelic asked him which one of his offensive linemen eat more, and how much it costs to take them to dinner.
