Watch: Alabama players, Nick Saban, take pre-Rose Bowl trip to Disneyland
Nick Saban and Alabama football players took a moment away from the practice field Wednesday for an excursion. Ahead of a Monday matchup with Michigan in the College Football Playoff’s Rose Bowl semifinal, the Crimson Tide took a trip to Disneyland.
Saban, along with Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe, outside linebacker Dallas Turner, and safety Malachi Moore, were part of a parade at the park. Afterward, the coach said he enjoyed the day out.
“It’s always uplifting to me to see people be happy,” Saban said. “And there’s a lot of happy people at Disneyland.”
Saban opted to sit low in his parade float, alongside his wife Terry and granddaughter Amelie. Just behind them, Milroe, Turner and Moore had their own carriage.
Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh was also in attendance. The Wolverines brought defensive back Mike Sainristil, defensive lineman Kris Jenkins and running back Blake Corum as representatives for the parade.
Alabama’s Milroe said he and his teammates were loving the brief time away from game preparation.
“Not too many people will be in this situation that we’re in,” Milroe said. “We gotta soak up the day. I say yeah, we’re just trying to have fun.”
Alabama and Michigan are scheduled to face off at 4 p.m. CT Monday in Pasadena. The game will be aired on ESPN.
