Want to work at Alabama’s top tourist attraction? 500 jobs available at U.S. Space & Rocket Center
The U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville has hundreds of jobs to fill and is holding a job fair Thursday to help fill them.
The rocket center, traditionally the state’s top paid tourist attraction, said it is ramping up for the summer season in restoring its workforce to near pre-pandemic levels. The rocket center is looking to immediately fill almost 350 positions with another 200 jobs that will be starting in May.
Available positions are full-time, part-time and seasonal in 33 areas. Openings include areas such as Space Camp counselors, nurses, lifeguards, museum guides, guest services representatives, gift shop sales associates, food service workers, custodial workers, ropes course instructors and education presenters.
The rocket center said many jobs start at $12 to $13 an hour and up. Full-time jobs include insurance, vacation time and other benefits. Part-time employees also receive paid time off and other perks, such as museum passes and discounts.
The job fair will take place Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the rocket center’s Education Programs building. For more information on available openings, visit rocketcenter.com/careers.
