Want to be in a movie with Mark Hamill, Tom Hiddleston? Extras needed in Mobile area
Ready for your closeup? A new movie starring Mark Hamill and Tom Hiddleston is set to shoot in south Alabama later this month and is in need of about 1,000 extras, Gulf Coast Media is reporting.
“The Life of Chuck” is an adaptation of a short story by Stephen King in his 2020 anthology “If It Bleeds,” according to Deadline. It will be comprised of three separate stories linked to tell the story of Charles Krantz in reverse, starting with his death from a brain tumor at 39 years of age and ending with his childhood in what is supposedly a haunted house.
Various locations around Baldwin and Mobile counties will be used for filming, although the majority of the extras needed will be for large crowd scenes in Baldwin County.
Filmmakers are looking for extras ages 11 and up. Those interested should email Nailim Sanchez at [email protected] and include the following:
- Two photos: a facial closeup and a head-to-toe show with no filters, hats or sunglasses. The file name should contain your name or, if a minor, the name of the parent or guardian.
- Age, height, clothing sizes, cell phone number, city and state of residence
According to Deadline, the script was adapted prior to the Writers Guild of America strike and has been in the works for several months. Hiddleston, known best for his portrayal of “Loki” in the Avengers franchise, is set to play the title character.
Hamill, of course, is best known for his work as Luke Skywalker in the “Star Wars” franchise and will play the role of “Albie” in the new movie.
“The Life of Chuck” is being directed by Mike Flanagan, whose works include “Doctor Sleep” and “The Haunting of Hill House.” Flanagan is no stranger to Alabama, having filmed four movies in the Yellowhammer State, including “Oculus” and “Before I Wake,” both filmed in Fairhope; and “Gerald’s Game,” filmed in Mobile.
