Want a Popeyesâ Cajun-Style Turkey for Thanksgiving? The price might shock you
Thinking about getting Popeyes’ Cajun-Style Turkey for Thanksgiving this year?
You are not alone, and it is not hard to understand why.
Just take a look at the company’s website, the pictures of the golden brown perfectly cooked bird, and that description.
“Popeyes’ Cajun-Style Turkey is hand-rubbed and infused with our signature blend of Louisiana seasonings,” the site reads. “The Cajun-Style Turkey is delivered to your door pre-cooked so all you have to do is thaw, heat, serve and enjoy.
If you are thinking, “Sign me-up,” there’s just one thing you have to know — it’s going to cost you.
To have one of the turkeys, which Popeyes says feeds 8-to-12 people, delivered to your door comes in at a whopping $99 plus shipping. If you can pick it up in a store near you, the company’s site says you can save significantly, with prices starting at $59.
The price tag, along with the fact that the birds look absolutely delicious, Popeyes’ Cajun Style-Turkey maybe the most talked about Thanksgiving Day dish that you can order on social media.
“Popeyes is charging $99 for a turkey,” one person posted on X. “Everybody has lost their mind.”
“The fact that Popeyes’ Cajun turkey was $40 in 2020 and $100 in 2023 does not sit well with my spirit!” another person wrote on X.
There were plenty of other posts like that, but there were also plenty of posts who managed to get over the sticker shock and actually place an order. And there were folks, too, on social media who swore by the Popeyes’ offering.
“I had a Popeyes turkey last year and I’m not settling for nothing less,” one person wrote. “(Expletive) was so fire.”
That’s a pretty strong pro-Popeyes statement.
So, where do you stand?
Cost too much? Understandable.
Willing to give it a shot because it looks so darned good and the reviews seem to be pretty positive? Lucky you.
