Walmart is celebrating the new year with a rare promotional offer for those who sign up for a Walmart+ membership this month.

Anyone who signs up for an annual Walmart+ membership now through Jan. 31, 2024 will receive $50 in Walmart Cash in their digital wallet in the Walmart app. New members will be able to use their Walmart Cash instantly on almost all in-store and online Walmart purchases.

Those who have previously signed for Walmart+, but later cancelled, are still eligible for this promotion.

According to Walmart, this new promotion comes as a way to help American’s achieve one of the country’s most popular New Year’s resolutions: to save money.

“America’s most popular New Year’s resolutions typically include plans to eat healthier and exercise more, but this year, saving money claimed the top spot with 59 percent of U.S. respondents resolute on saving,” a recent news release from Walmart states. “With the countdown on to National Quitters Day, Walmart+ is making sure customers don’t drop the ball on their 2024 goals with a money-saving incentive.”
