Walmart closing Thanksgiving Day 2022
The nation’s largest retailer will be closed on Thanksgiving.
Asked by Today host Savannah Guthrie if Walmart would be open on Thanksgiving or if that was a “thing of the past,” CEO John Furner replied, “that’s a thing of the past.”
“Fortunately, all of our associates will be able to spend time with their loved ones this year,” Furner said.
Walmart is just the latest retailer to announce it will close on Nov. 24 as more companies move away from keeping doors open on Thanksgiving. Target, Kohl’s and Best Buy previously announced they would close for the holiday.
Walmart’s Black Friday hours have not been announced.
