Walmart announces Black Friday sales plans for 2023
The Christmas shopping season is officially underway and the nation’s largest retailer is weighing in with its plans.
Walmart is bringing back month-long “Black Friday Deals” with two sales day events, similar to what it did last year. In another repeat, members of Walmart+, the company’s membership plan, will get early access to deals and, for the first time, a jump start on Cyber Monday shopping.

Sales events
- Event No. 1 – Deals will begin online Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. CT and continue in stores Friday, Nov. 10. Walmart+ early access runs from 11 p.m. CT – 2 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Nov. 8.
- Event No. 2 – Deals will begin online Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 2 p.m. CT and continue in stores on Friday, Nov. 24. Walmart+ early access runs from 11 a.m. CT – 2 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Nov. 22.
- Cyber Monday – Special deals for Nov. 27 with early access for Walmart+ members. For the first time, Walmart+ members will get three hours of early access to Cyber Monday deals. Through Nov. 8, membership is being offered for $49, half off the everyday price. Members receive free delivery and shipping, fuel savings and a Paramount+ subscription.
Walmart is also offering a holiday wish list and toy registry where users can save items and share with others.
