Vote for the top Cunningham Bounds Coastal football player for Week 9
Once again this year, readers have a chance to vote for the Cunningham Bounds Coastal Alabama Football Player of the Week.
Coaches can submit statistics following their games on Friday night or nominate players before noon each Saturday.
Nominations must come from a coach or official team statistician. They can be emailed to [email protected].
Voting is open until Wednesday morning. The winner will be announced on AL.com on Thursday.
Here are the nominees from Week 9:
Jackson Boykin, South Choctaw Academy: Boykin rushed for 147 yards and three touchdowns as SCA improved to 8-0 overall with a win over Patrician.
J.J. Bush, Theodore: Bush caught a tipped, 35-yard Hail Mary at the buzzer as the Bobcats shocked Gulf Shores 16-14.
EJ Crowell, Jackson: The sophomore rushed for 121 yards and three touchdowns on just eight carries as the Aggies shut out W.S. Neal.
Emerian Davis, B.C. Rain: Davis scored on runs of 28, 8 and 40 yards and caught a 37-yard TD pass for a fourth score as the Red Raiders defeated Faith Academy on Thursday.
Jabarrius Garror, Vigor: The Alabama commit had 12 tackles, 7 TFL, 4.5 sacks – including a pair of strip sacks – 2 forced fumbles, 2 pass deflections and 6 QB hurries in the Wolves’ 19-2 win over Williamson.
Shondell Harris, Mary G. Montgomery: Harris scored the winning TD on a two-yard run on fourth down as the Vikings beat Baker in OT. He passed for 150 yards and a TD and ran for 89 yards and two scores on 22 carries.
Ethan Henson, Clarke County: Henson rushed for 73 yards and 3 TDs on 8 carries on offense and had 10 tackles and a fumble recovery on defense in a 33-0 win over St. Luke’s.
Brody Jones, St. Michael: Jones caught 12 passes for 184 yards and a pair of TDs as the Cardinals beat Pensacola, Fla., on the road.
KJ Lacey, Saraland: In his second game back from injury, Lacey threw for 270 yards and six touchdowns in the Spartans’ 58-7 win over Murphy.
Zach Morgan, Citronelle: The senior defensive end had 12 tackles, 2 sacks and 6 QB hurries in the Wildcats’ win over LeFlore.
Scoot Myles, Daphne: Myles caught six passes for 101 yards and returned a punt 62 yards for a TD as the Trojans defeated the Pirates in the War on the Eastern Shore.
Nelson Thompson, Foley: Thompson passed for 226 yards and two touchdowns as the Lions snapped a four-game losing streak and defeated Davidson.
Jason Todd, Mobile Christian: Todd scored on touchdowns on runs of 8, 25 and 33 yards as the Leopards knocked off Orange Beach 35-21.
Speedy Wheeler, Baker: Wheeler scored on runs of 8, 31 and 60 yards and caught a 64-yard TD pass in the Hornets’ 34-31 overtime loss to Mary G. Montgomery.
Dre White, Blount: White had a pair of interceptions, forced a fumble and finished with four tackles as the Leopards beat Baldwin County 12-3.
