Here are the nominees from the third round of the playoffs:
Ty Jones, West Morgan: The senior finished with 46 yards rushing and two touchdowns in West Morgan’s rout of Anniston on Friday. He ran for touchdowns of 8 and 4 yards, also logging a team-high 3 receptions for 34 yards and rushed for 3 two-point conversions.
Ryder Gipson, Fyffe: Gispon totaled 270 yards and four touchdowns on 40 carries as Fyffe dropped a 30-28 overtime game against Piedmont.
Caden Chandler, Mars Hill Bible: Chander ran for three touchdowns as Mars Hill beat Winfield 28-13 on Friday. He ran for scores of 13, 28 and 56 yards in the victory.
Garrett Burrough, Brooks: The quarterback threw for two touchdowns as Brooks dropped a 21-14 game against Cherokee County on Friday.
Luke Gilbert, Pisgah: Gilbert threw for two touchdowns and ran for one as Pisgah dropped a 44-34 game to Tuscaloosa Academy on Friday.
