Vote for the Hollis Wright Week 11 Birmingham Player of the Week

Check out the nominees for the Hollis Wright Birmingham Football Player of the Week for Week 11, the final week of the 2022 high school football regular season.

Coach can submit statistics following their games on Friday night or nominate players before noon each Saturday.

The nominations must come from a coach or official team statistician. They can be emailed to [email protected].

Voting is open until 11 p.m. Wednesday and the winner will be announced on AL.com on Thursday.

Here are the nominees for Week 11:

Charlie Adams, Montevallo: The junior recorded 10 tackles with 2 sacks in the Bulldogs’ 21-14 win over Tarrant.

Jacob Clopton, McAdory: Clopton was 7-of-11 for 140 yards and threw touchdown passes of 56, 33 and 17 yards and added a 1-yard touchdown run in the Yellow Jackets’ 30-9 win over Calera.

John Colvin, Mountain Brook: Colvin passed for 311 yards and 3 touchdowns in a 41-7 win over Baker. The senior threw for 232 yards in the first half.

Terrance Gaines, Mortimer Jordan: Gaines ran for 3 TDs and had a pass reception for a score in the Blue Devils’ 35-0 win over Fultondale. The sophomore had 167 yards on 22 carries and caught 3 passes for 68 yards.

Cody Headrick, Cordova: The senior completed 13-of-17 passes for 210 yards and 3 TDs and added 64 yards on 5 rushing attempts in a 41-18 win over Carver-Birmingham.

Carson McFadden, John Carroll: The junior quarterback ran for 193 yards and 2 TDs on 26 carries and passed for 203 yards in a 28-12 win over Maplesville.

Kesean Pryor, Dora: The junior quarterback had 12 carries for 246 yards – with an 82-yard run – and 2 touchdowns in a 34-14 win over St. Clair County. He also completed 10-of-14 throws for 154 yards and a pair of TDs.

Woods Ray, Homewood: The senior threw for 262 yards and 5 touchdowns in a 48-20 win at Jasper. Ray hit 14-of-18 passes and pushed his total passing yards to 2,003 for the season.

Christopher Vizzina, Briarwood: The senior quarterback bound for Clemson threw for 312 yards with a pair of scores and ran for another in a 44-22 loss to Fairhope.

Earl Woods, Hueytown: Woods ran 20 times for 208 yards and 2 touchdowns and completed 7-of-13 passes for 105 yards and a score in a 35-21 win over Gardendale.
