The Hollis Wright Birmingham area high school football Player of the Week will be chosen by fans voting for the top performances in the Birmingham area.

Voting closes at 11 p.m. on Wednesday with results posted on Thursday so make your selection below.

Players are selected from nominations by coaches or from AL.com game reports.

Garrett Ames, Mortimer Jordan: Completed 12-of-24 passes for 230 yards and 2 scores, adding 30 yards rushing against Leeds.

Jeremiah Beaman, Parker: Contributed 4 sacks as the defense shut out Fairfield.

Kamari Bell, Minor: Had 224 all-purpose yards, returning 5 punts for 197 yards with a touchdown and ran for 27 yards against Huffman.

Fluff Bothwell, Oneonta: Ran 11 times for 133 yards and 4 touchdowns against Cleveland.

Jacob Clopton, McAdory: Was 10-of-20 passing for 82 yards and 2 TDs and ran 12 times for 102 yards against Oxford.

Eric Handley, Pleasant Grove: Was 18-of-21 passing for 339 yards and 5 TDs against Smiths Station.

Clayton Mains, Pelham: Completed 9-of-18 passes for 131 yards and a TD and ran 8 times for 63 yards and two scores against Jackson-Olin.

Will O’Dell, Oak Mountain: Ran 10 times for 190 yards and 2 TDs and was 6-of-9 passing with another score in 3 quarters against Northridge.

Gerrel Perry, Banks: was 11-of-18 for 229 yards and 3 TDs passing and had 48 yards rushing with a touchdown against Bessemer Academy.

Jordan Ross, Vestavia Hills: Contributed 8 tackles and 4 quarterback pressures, a sack and tackle-for-loss, adding a touchdown pass reception against Mountain Brook.

Jordan Washington, Helena: Carried the ball 16 times 153 yards and 2 TDs, adding a catch for 28 yards against Chelsea.

Anthony Young, Wenonah: Completed 9-of-15 Passes for 183 yards and 2 TDs, adding 10 carries for 119 yards and a TD and had 3 tackles on defense against Sylacauga.
