Fan voting will decide the Hollis Wright Birmingham high school football Player of the Week from the top area performances.

Readers can vote until 5 p.m. on Wednesday with results posted on Thursday so make your selection below.

Players are selected from nominations by coaches or from AL.com game reports.

Terence Gaines, Parker: Ran for 131 yards and 2 touchdowns on 12 carries in the win over Muscle Shoals.

Taylon Gaiter, Leeds: Caught 6 passes for 215 yards and a touchdown and ran 5 times for 111 yards and a score in the win over Corner.

Preston Lancaster, Tuscaloosa Academy: Totaled 459 yards offense and 4 touchdowns, completing 21-of-24 passes for 374 yards and a touchdown, adding 18 carries for 85 yards and 3 more touchdowns in the upset win over Class 2A second-ranked Pisgah.

Darion Moseley, Thompson: Caught 8 passes for 105 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win over Enterprise.

Justin Murray, Fairfield: Had 20 carries for 146 yards in the loss to St. Michael.
