Vote for the girls flag football Player of the Super 7

Voting by fans will decide the girls high school flag football Player of the Super 7 from the top performances at the AHSAA championships on Wednesday.

Wenonah downed Montgomery Catholic 18-12 in overtime of the Class 1A-5A game and Central-Phenix City turned in a dominating performance by beating Vestavia Hills 25-0 in the Class 6A-7A game.

Voting closes at 5 p.m. on Wednesday with results posted on Thursday so make your selection below.

Jehle Dickson, Montgomery Catholic: Completed 18-of-37 passes for 133 yards and two touchdowns, adding two runs for 12 yards and punted four times for a 31.5-yard average.

Samarian Franklin, Wenonah: Ran for the game-winning score on fourth down in overtime to beat Montgomery Catholic. She completed 18-of-32 passes for 151 yards and a touchdown, adding 32 yards on 10 carries and punted four times for a 26.8-yard average.

Gerritt Griggs, Central-Phenix City: The Alabama softball commit completed 7-of-10 passes for 74 yards and two touchdowns, adding 13 carries for 70 yards and a score and had two tackles and an interception on defense against Vestavia Hills.

Natalyn Lumpkin, Central-Phenix City: Caught touchdown passes of 14, 8 and 61 yards among her five receptions for 107 yards and led the defense with six tackles and an interception against Vestavia Hills.

River Riley, Vestavia Hills: Led the defense with six tackles with a tackle-for-loss against Central.

Jakerria Ringstaff, Wenonah: Caught three passes for 55 yards and a touchdown, adding two punt returns for 70 yards, including a 66-yard score, and had two tackles and an interception on defense against Montgomery Catholic.

Julia Rose, Vestavia Hills: Completed 8-of-23 passes for 62 yards against Central.

Anna Russo, Montgomery Catholic: Caught 11 passes for 73 yards and a touchdown and had six tackles and a sack on defense.
