Check out the nominees for the Cunningham Bounds Coastal Alabama Football Player of the Week for Round 3 of the 2023 HS football playoffs.
Coaches can submit statistics following their games on Friday night or nominate players before noon each Saturday.
Nominations must come from a coach or official team statistician. They can be emailed to [email protected].
Voting is open until Wednesday morning. The winner will be announced on AL.com on Thursday.
Here are this week’s nominees:
Damien Gatson, Mobile Christian: Gatson completed 15-of-18 passes for 254 yards and 3 TDs as the Leopards remained undefeated with a 42-21 win at Trinity.
Brayden Huebner, Leroy: Hueber completed 11-of-16 passes for 154 yards and 2 TDs and rushed for 43 yards and 2 more scores in Leroy’s 40-18 win over Brantley.
Kingston Lowe, Gulf Shores: Lowe recorded four sacks and five tackles for a loss in the Dolphins’ 35-14 rout of Headland on Friday.
Ryan Williams, Saraland: The Alabama commit caught four passes for 92 yards and a touchdown in the Spartans’ win over Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa. He also ran the ball six times for 45 yards and had a touchdown run called back for holding.
