Check out this week’s nominees for the Huntsville area football player of the week and vote in the fan poll below.

Coaches and statisticians can submit game reports to [email protected] on game night to have a player nominated.

Voting is open until Wednesday morning. The winner will be announced on AL.com on Thursday. Remember to hit the “finish survey” button after you make your choice.

Here are the quarterfinal candidates:

Ken Cherry, Madison Academy: Ran for 165 yards and three touchdowns on 14 carries and converted a 2-point run in a 35-28 win over Sylvania.

Luke Gilbert, Pisgah: Ran for 111 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries, caught three passes for 84 yards and a TD and converted a 2-point run in a 36-29 win over Tuscaloosa County.

Eli Morrison, Guntersville: Completed 19 of 33 passes for 193 yards and two touchdowns and ran for a TD in a 31-21 win over Pleasant Grove.

Brandon Musch, Westminster Christian: Ran for 261 yards and six touchdowns on 25 carries and completed 10 of 12 passes for 68 yards in a 48-27 win over Brooks.
