Vote for Huntsville HS football player of the week for Week 7

Check out this week’s nominees for the Huntsville area football player of the week and vote in the fan poll below.

Coaches and statisticians can submit game reports to [email protected] on game night to have a player nominated.

Voting is open until Wednesday morning. The winner will be announced on AL.com on Thursday. Remember to hit the “finish survey” button after you make your choice.

Here are the Week 7 candidates:

Blitz Clemons, Priceville: Scored four rushing touchdowns in a 42-18 win over St. John Paul II.

Jalen Fletcher, West Morgan: Scored six touchdowns — four rushing and three receiving — in a 56-35 win over Deshler.

Ri Fletcher, Hartselle: Accounted for four touchdowns in a 55-49 double-overtime loss to Muscle Shoals.

Jayden Gilbert, Clements: Ran for 334 yards and three touchdowns and threw two TD passes in a 56-21 win over Marion County.

Brogan Gross, Athens: Completed 23 of 27 passes for 220 yards and three touchdowns and ran for a score in a 34-28 win over Cullman.

Marvin Jones Jr., Huntsville: Ran for 169 yards and four touchdowns on 30 carries in a 36-7 win over Albertville.

Landon Keller, North Sand Mountain: Completed 12 of 16 passes for 227 yards and three touchdowns in a 47-28 win over Sand Mountain.

Jonathan Linderman, North Jackson: Ran for 119 yards and two touchdowns, passed for 165 yards and a score and converted a 2-point run in a 36-20 win over New Hope.

William Mitchell, Randolph: Threw three touchdown passes in a 46-26 win over Madison County.

Brandon Musch, Westminster Christian: In one quarter of action, completed 13 of 14 passes for 180 yards and three touchdowns in a 69-14 win over DAR.

Sam Peek, Woodville: Accounted for 236 yards of offense and three touchdowns and recorded a team-high 12 tackles in a 23-8 win over Gaylesville.

Skylar Townsend, Tanner: Picked off two passes and caught a TD in a 20-0 win over Hatton.

Josh Varner, Section: Amassed more than 300 yards of offense and six touchdowns — five rushing and one passing — in a 49-26 win over Ider.
