Victory Health director talks meeting the wellness needs of Mobile
Kim Garrett has served as director of Victory Health Partners, the largest charitable health clinic in the state, for just over three years. She arrived at Victory in 2012 as the development director from Dallas, Texas, where she worked in the nonprofit sector.
Founded in 2003, Victory Health now serves around 40,000 low-income, uninsured patients from Alabama, Mississippi and Florida using a sliding-scale fee model. The clinic provides primary care as well as a range of specialty care with the help of over 160 doctors and dentists that donate their time to the clinic.
Last week, Victory began a physical therapy clinic as part of an effort to expand its wellness efforts. Garrett discusses that more here, as well as the ongoing healthcare needs in Mobile.
