Victim suffers two gunshot wounds inside a Family Dollar store
A victim suffered two gunshot wounds in an incident inside a Dothan Family Dollar store, Dothan police said.
The shooting happened Saturday about 3 p.m. inside the Family Dollar at 1061 South Oates Street, police said.
The victim suffered one gunshot wound to the upper torso and another in an arm, police said.
“The victim was transported to a local hospital where he underwent surgery for his injuries,” Dothan police said in a statement released today. “This was an isolated incident that did not involve the business. All persons involved have been identified by law enforcement. This is an ongoing investigation that remains pending.”
Police handcuffed a male who appeared to be a teen or young adult at the scene, according to TV station WTVY.
