Victim identified in Thursday night Huntsville shooting

The Madison County Coroner has identified Jalil Mohammad as the man who was killed during a shooting in Oakdale Terrace on Thursday night.

Mohammad, age 46, was killed around 10 p.m. on Jan. 16 on the 2700 block of Oakdale Terrace, according to Huntsville Police.

WAFF 48 spoke to Mohammad’s family, who told the outlet that he had custody of his five children and that his last words were captured on a home security camera and allegedly were: “Please don’t do this in front of my kids.”

Allen David James Henderson, 25, was charged with Mohammad’s murder and is being held in the Madison County jail without bond.

According to WAFF 48, Allen Henderson was Mohammad’s son.

Mohammad’s sister, Viola Henderson, told the outlet that the two had a rocky relationship but Mohammad was trying to get his son on the right track.
