Mobile police have identified the victim in a deadly shooting Monday on MacArthur Street.

According to the Mobile Police Department, Karlos Walker, 38, was identified as the man shot and killed.

On Monday, officers responded to the 1400 block of MacArthur Street at about 9:05 a.m. in reference to a shooting.

After arriving, Walker was found suffering a gunshot wound and would succumb to his injuries at the scene.

“Upon further investigation, officers discovered a male subject shot the victim and left the area before officers arrived,” the department said.

Information regarding the homicide will be turned over to the District Attorney’s office.

The department said that it would not be releasing any more information at the moment.
