Decatur police have identified the person who died early Sunday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 65 North near the Tennessee River Bridge.

Police say Romeo Antonio Gabriel Cash died in the incident that happened at about 3:34 a.m.

Investigators say the vehicle left the roadway and struck a guardrail. Cash was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

Three other people were transported to area hospitals to receive treatment.

One person sustained a leg injury and was taken to Huntsville Hospital.

The two others were transported to Decatur Morgan Hospital with minor injuries.
