Vestavia Hills woman, 21, killed in rollover crash on I-59 in Tuscaloosa County
A Vestavia Hills woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Tuscaloosa County.
Alabama state troopers Sunday identified the fatality victim as Jamya S. Tate. She was 21.
The crash happened at 9:45 p.m. Saturday on Interstate 59, about one mile north of Coaling, said Trooper Sgt. Jeremy Burkett.
Tate was driving a Honda Accord that left the interstate and struck several trees before hitting a ditch.
Burkett said Tate was not using a seat belt and was ejected from the car. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
