Vestavia Hills approves $73 million budget for 2025

The Vestavia Hills City Council unanimously voted earlier this week to approve a $73.2 million general fund budget for the 2025 fiscal year (FY ’25) beginning on Oct. 1.

The budget represents a 10.3% increase over last year’s budget of $66.4 million. This includes a 3% cost of living increase for all employees and a 9% increase ($2,037,018) in road resurfacing funds, according to a recent release from City Manager Jeff Downes.
