USC transfer DB Domani Jackson attends Alabama footballâs Rose Bowl practice
As Alabama football started its Thursday practice days before the Rose Bowl, a high-profile visitor walked onto the Crimson Tide sideline.
Domani Jackson, a former five-star defensive back and Southern California transfer, was in attendance as UA continued its prep for No. 1 Michigan. He walked onto the grass at Dignity Health Sports Park with Alabama director of player development Bob Welton. Head coach Nick Saban jogged over to shake his hand while the team stretched.
Jackson entered the portal on Dec. 18 and is reportedly deciding between the Tide and Wolverines. Michigan started practice shortly after Alabama did, giving Jackson ample opportunity to watch both his finalists.
Jackson is from Santa Ana, Calif., and attended Mater Dei where he also ran track and was one of the nation’s prized cornerbacks. Jackson appeared in 18 games across his career with 28 total tackles and four passes deflected.
Alabama can lose up to three starting defensive backs next fall. Kool-Aid McKinstry and Terrion Arnold have NFL Draft futures, as does senior Malachi Moore. Kristian Story and Jaylen Key are seniors as well.
