US Open live stream (6/15): How to watch online, TV, time, tee times

The US Open heads to the Los Angeles Country Club on Thursday, June 15. The first round will be live streamed early on Peacock and fuboTV (free trial) in the later pairings.

Brooks Koepka said he enjoys the chaos and there’s no shortage of that in this U.S. Open, even for those who manage to avoid the traffic.

Players are still trying to digest the blockbuster announcement of the PGA Tour ending a legal and moral battle with LIV Golf by becoming partners with the Saudi Arabia national wealth fund that paid for all those PGA Tour defections.

And then came news late Tuesday night that PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan was turning over day-to-day operations while he recovers from what was described as a medical situation.

And on Thursday, they take on the North course at Los Angeles Country Club that won’t look like most U.S. Opens except for usual doses of frustration from the toughest test in golf.

U.S. Opens are typically in the suburbs, not on the edge of Beverly Hills with office buildings and high-rise condos lining the edge of the course built between Wilshire and Sunset boulevards. The aiming point off the first tee is the “H” on the Beverly Hilton sign.

And while this golf course looks big — the fairways average 43 yards in width — it actually plays smaller than the target appears because of the severe slope in some of the fairways and angles required to access pins.

When is the US Open?

The first round of the US Open is set for 8:40 a.m. (9:40 a.m. ET) on Thursday, June 15.

Will it be live streamed?

Peacock

Peacock is the place for NBC Universal content and has an archive of NBC comedies and dramas, live sports, Universal Studios films and new original content.

There are a few options to consider.

  • Peacock TV Free: Just like the name implies, this is a free service. There are ads and you have access to a limited library or archive.
  • Peacock Premium with Ads: For $4.99 a month or $50 a year, this plan gives users full access to Peacock TV content with commercial breaks
  • Peacock Premium without Ads: For $9.99 a month or $100 a year. This paid plan gives users full access to Peacock TV content with no commercials

FuboTV

The game will be live streamed on fuboTV, which offers a free trial. The most basic of plans is the “fubo pro” package, which comprises 146-plus channels for $74.99 per month. Like all cord-cutting alternatives, there are plenty of options, especially for sports. It comes with more than 1,000 hours of cloud-based DVR, and up to 10 screens at once.

There is also the “fubo elite” package, which comprises 205-plus channels for $84.99 per month. It comes with fuboExtra (48 more channels) and News Plus (11 more channels). Plus, more than 1,000 hours of cloud-based DVR, and up to 10 screens at once.

The “fubo premiere” package is “fubo elite” with the addition of Showtime for $94.99 per month.

The reveal will be live streamed on fuboTV (free trial) and televised on the SEC Network.

Will the first round be televised?

The first round of the US Open will be televised on the USA Network, starting at noon (7 p.m. ET) on the USA Network before heading to NBC from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. (8 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET).
